More than $200 billion in productivity loss each year is the result of employee absenteeism, according to a breakfast presentation Friday by the Maysville Mason County Area Chamber of Commerce.
Buffalo Trace District Health Department Executive Director Allison Adams said allowing employees paid time off for sick days will assist with keeping employees productive.
“When employees are not tired or sick, they’ll produce the kind of quality you are paying them for,” Adams said during the presentation.
