Workplaces that Cater to Mom and Dad (July 10, 2017)
American employers are becoming more family friendly, though progress is mixed. This is according to a research report released by staffing firm OfficeTeam. Slightly less than half (49 percent) of HR managers interviewed in the survey stated their firms made some changes over the past five years to better serve working parents.
The survey also looked at which family-friendly workplace perks appeal most to employees. When asked which policies or programs would have the greatest impact on deciding whether or not to join a prospective employer, nearly 4 in 5 (79 percent) stated that they would prefer flexible work hours. Sixty-eight percent of employers stated they provide such a policy.
