Children’s National Health System just became a bit more family-friendly.
At the beginning of this month, the Northwest D.C. hospital began offering six to eight weeks of paid maternity leave and two weeks of paid paternity leave, as well as leave for newly adoptive parents. Employees previously had to use accrued sick time of up to 1,000 hours and disability leave, in addition to the Family and Medical Leave Act for parental leave.
